Start with the Eligibility Assessment

How it works

Step 1: Check Eligibility & Schedule

Take the assessment to see if a home sleep test is right for you.

If you are a candidate, you will immediately complete your patient profile and schedule your first telehealth visit with the sleep doctor.

Step 2: Receive Your Home Test Kit

Pickup the sleep testing device from our office or have it shipped to you (option at checkout). It is small, wireless, and fits comfortably on your finger, pairing via Bluetooth to the testing app on your smartphone.

Step 3: Attend 1st Telehealth Visit

Join your first video call to meet your sleep doctor and review your medical history before starting your sleep test. This visit is required for insurance billing.

Step 4: Complete Test in Your Own Bed

Download the app and wear the ring for two nights of testing in the comfort of your own home. The device automatically records your oxygen levels, heart rate, and sleep quality while you rest.

Step 5: Get Your Results at 2nd Telehealth Visit

Join your second video call to review your data. If a sleep disorder is found, you will receive a formal medical diagnosis and prescription so you can start treatment immediately.

Home Sleep Test Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs):

What is a sign that I should get a sleep test?

Snoring is one of the most common signs of sleep‑disordered breathing. If you experience loud snoring, pauses in breathing while sleeping, or frequent daytime sleepiness, a sleep test is recommended to rule sleep apnea, a serious sleep condition.

Is an in-lab sleep study better for me?

An in-lab sleep study is better for you if you have complex medical conditions like significant heart failure, severe lung disease, suspected central sleep apnea, or obesity hypoventilation. These conditions require the closer monitoring of an in‑lab sleep study.

Home testing is not appropriate for people who use supplemental oxygen, or anyone with neuromuscular disorders that affect breathing. In these cases, an in‑lab study provides safer and more accurate evaluation.

Can a child get a home sleep test?

Yes — children can use the SleepImage Ring home sleep testing device for kids, and it is FDA‑cleared for diagnosing sleep‑disordered breathing in kids as young as age 2.

Is the Home Sleep Test accurate?

Yes. For adults with symptoms of sleep apnea, Home Sleep Tests are clinically validated and widely used by sleep physicians as an effective diagnostic tool. Our test covers multiple nights of data, which increases reliability compared to a single night in a lab.

How does the test measure my sleep?

The SleepImage Ring device uses advanced cardiopulmonary coupling (CPC) technology to monitor how your heart and lungs work together during sleep. By tracking tiny changes in your heart rate and breathing patterns, CPC can detect when your sleep is stable, restless, or disrupted by breathing problems like sleep apnea.

Instead of just recording oxygen drops, CPC looks at the interaction between your cardiovascular and respiratory systems, giving a more complete picture of your sleep quality, sleep cycle and stress on the body from non-restorative sleep.

Should I get tested if I’m always tired?

Persistent daytime sleepiness, needing naps, or feeling unrefreshed despite a full night’s sleep are strong indicators of a possible sleep disorder.

What if I wake up a lot at night?

Frequent awakenings, gasping, or feeling like you stop breathing are red flags for sleep apnea and should be evaluated.
